OMC Summerfest picks: July 5
By OMC Staff Writers I've gone to see Clamnation, Milwaukee's favorite jazz funk band, since they played in the now-defunct Stork Club under the name "The Clams," and they have never, EVER, let me down. This band will absolutely mesmerize you with their original sound, ranging from smooth and mellow to so rockin' that even the non-dancers will find themselves groovin' out. 10 p.m. at the Master Locks Garden Stage. -Molly Snyder Edler

Biography - Jamie has been performing extensively in South Eastern Wisconsin since 1998. In addition to performing, Jamie teaches Band at Maple Dale Middle School in Fox Point, WI. He also maintains a private lesson studio of about 20 students as education is as much a passion of Jamie's as performing. Jamie has shared the stage with many fabulous local/national musicians including: Berkeley Fudge, Mark Davis, Paul Silbergleit, Dave Bayles, Mike Standal, Steve Einerson, Dan Nimmer, Brian Lynch, Pete Zimmer, John Sullivan, Rob Wilkerson, Curt Hanrahan, Marvin Stamm, Ernie Watts, Carl Allen, The Wisconsin Jazz Orchestra, to name a few. Jamie performs regularly with the following groups: Clamnation, Recycled Future, Hudson, The Jeno Somlai Sextet, The Curt Hanrahan Septet, and The Afro Drum Ensemble.
